Our refund policy is built around one simple idea: you should be able to evaluate Upwardly Math completely free before any money changes hands. That's what the 7-day free trial is for. This policy explains exactly how the trial, billing, cancellation, and refunds work.
Your 7-Day Free Trial
- •Full access from minute one. Every grade, every unit, every tool—nothing held back during the trial.
- •No charge on sign-up day. We collect a payment method so your access can continue seamlessly if you decide to stay, but we don't charge it during the trial.
- •Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. No charge, no obligation.
How Billing Works
Upwardly Math is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
- When your free trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged the plan price you chose.
- It then renews automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
- We send a reminder before your trial ends, and a receipt for every payment, so there are no surprise charges.
Our Refund Policy
Because you get a full, free week to decide, Upwardly Math generally does not offer refunds on subscription charges—except where required by law.
This applies to both initial charges (when your trial converts) and ongoing renewals. We keep prices fair and the trial genuinely free specifically so you never have to pay to find out whether Upwardly Math fits your family.
Where the law gives you a refund or cancellation right—for example, certain consumer-protection or distance-selling rights depending on where you live—those rights still apply, and nothing in this policy removes them.
We're also human. If something clearly went wrong—a duplicate charge, a technical error, or a charge you genuinely didn't expect—email us. We're a small, parent-run team, and we'll review your situation in good faith and do what's right.
How to Cancel
Self-Serve. No Hoops.
- ✓ Go to the Subscription tab on your My Account page inside the app—you can cancel or make any administrative change yourself, at any time.
- ✓ No phone calls, no emails required, no retention runaround.
- ✓ Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle you've already paid for, then simply doesn't renew.
- ✓ We don't prorate partial cycles, and cancelling doesn't by itself refund a charge already made—but you keep full access through the time you paid for.
The simplest way to avoid a charge you don't want is to cancel before your trial ends or before your next renewal date. We send reminders to help you do exactly that.
What Happens to Your Data
When you cancel, we keep your account and your students' progress for 12 months so you can pick up right where you left off if you come back. You can request immediate deletion anytime. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Payments & Your Rights
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms, which may provide additional rights depending on your location. If you're outside the United States, local consumer-protection laws may give you cancellation or refund rights beyond this policy—those rights always apply.
